target audience

My target audience for the film we have chosen to produce is teenagers from the age of 15 upwards, this allows us to use a certificate 15 which would theoretically allow us to get more audience whilst still being able to produce the film with violence and shocking images as originally intended.

specifically we would be focusing on the ages of 15-25 because it will be a relatively new concept to this audience whereas an older audience may be familiar with the conventions of horror and be able to tell exactly whats coming.

I have chosen 15 because at that age a person would be able to follow the storyline without getting lost, this is also a common age for people to go to the cinema with friends and horror is a popular genre amongst this age
