we went around with another survey, to places such as WH Smith and cinema's in order to find the target audience in order to get feedback for our magazine details such as name, layout and articles that would interest readers

the majority of people voted for ASYLUM, when asked why, most people answered because it fits the genre of the magazine best

after showing a series of layouts, the target audience chose the layout they preferred

This is the layout they preferred, when asked, most said that they liked the main image to be the main topic and focus, being a horror magazine, a shocking image would grab attention best

The also Preferred this masthead font as they thought it tailored to the genre.

when asked about the colour scheme, most chose a mixture of red and black, the majority said because the are colours you would relate to horror, i think this is due to iconography, red meaning blood and danger whilst black represents darkness and the unknown
